Succession Planning

Succession Planning is a distinct area from estate planning.  In succession planning, the planner is hoping to be alive to enjoy the fruits of labour long after the succession plan has been put into effect!

Succession Planning should not be left till one is ill or when a relationship (such as a partnership) has broken down.  It is a topic that should be discussed openly and frankly as early as possible in the business relationship so that if the unexpected does happen, all parties know where to turn for guidance.
